The Meeting of South Cave Parish Council Planning Committee took place in the Town Hall, Market Place, South Cave at 7.00pm.

2077      Tree Applications

(i) 14/03821/TCA

Description of Works: SOUTH CAVE CONSERVATION AREA - Fell Silver Birch (T1) located on land to the rear, due to excessive shading and poor amenity value.  Light canopy raise Silver Birch (T2) to tighten and improve the shape of the canopy.

Application Type: Tree Works in Conservation Areas

The meeting closed at 7:25p.m where the applicant addressed the Parish Council with objections for the Parish Council requesting photographs of the tree(s), it was also explained the reasoning for the application.

The meeting was re-opened at 7:30p.m

Cllr Kingdom proposed the Parish Council recommend refusal to the felling of T1, however the Parish Council would agree to light canopy rise to T1.  The Parish Council raise no objection to light crown rise on T2.  The Parish Council have requested the East Riding or Yorkshire Council place Tree Preservation Orders on both trees, due to them being under threat and the loss of these trees would have detrimental impact on the amenity value and streetscene.  Seconded Cllr Kelly, All in favour.

                   Cllr Barnett proposed the Parish Council recommend refusal to the application having not addresses the Parish Councils previous objections:

                   The Parish Council recommend refusal to the application due to overdevelopment of the site & therefore the mass is not commensurate with the existing development.  If the East Riding of Yorkshire Council are minded to approve the application, the extension should match the existing fenestration and the glass should be opaque
