The Meeting of South
Cave Parish Council took place in the Town Hall, Market Place, South Cave
commencing at 7:00pm.
Present: Cllrs Harrison, M Turner, L Turner, Barnett,
Lenton, Kingdom, Munby and Phillips

Public Forum
Cllr Lenton raised awareness of a local
campaign relating to South Hunsley School catchment and advised he would obtain
further information for the next meeting.
Cllr L. Turner
suggested a meeting be arranged with the Conservation Officer at 38 West End,
South Cave, to discuss its potential demolition. Clerk to arrange accordingly.
Cllr M. Turner requested Clerk
contact the Highways to establish to a noise reduction surface has been
installed on the A63.
Cllr Kingdom requested the
Parish Council consider contacting the ERYC to install a mirror on the junction
of Little Wold Lane. The Council advised
this has been requested on previous occasions, but has been rejected by the
ERYC.
Cllr Kingdom highlighted the
problem with bonfires within South Cave.
The Parish Council advised any complaints should be directed to the ERYC, Environmental Health Department.

Cllr Barnett proposed that the minutes of the 19th
September 2011 be approved and entered into records, as a true and accurate

(i)To receive crime figures for October 2011
Eight of the crimes were theft offences, five
of which were thefts from a motor vehicle.
One theft of lead from the roof of the
school.
One Criminal Damage.
(ii)PSCO advised the police are doing their
best to stop the problems with the motorcycles at the quarry and the
woods. This is an ongoing issue and is
high in priority.

(i)October Clerks
report was noted with the following discussions:
(i.i)South Cave Flood Meeting Update to be placed on the next Planning
& Technical Services committee meeting.
(i.ii)Barnards Drive Footpath The Council requested Clerk request
confirmation of responsibility and a date when the definitive map will be
update.

(i)11/04626/TCA - Notification to carry out works to trees in a
Conservation Area at 50 West End, South Cave for Mrs More.
Cllr M. Turner proposed the Parish Council raise no objection to the
works and request the Eastriding of Yorkshire Council should nominate the
replacement species, Seconded Cllr Phillips, All in favour.

(i)The
Parish Council noted ERYC Budget Events 2012/2013
(ii)The Parish Council noted copy letter
received to the ERYC from South Cave Social & Recreational Committee, and
requested Clerk establish if the South Cave Social & Recreation Committee
require Parish Council support.
(iii)The Parish Council considered the email
received from ERYC relating to Zebra Crossing.
Cllr Kingdom proposed the Parish Council arrange for the ERYC to employ
the patrol supervisor for a temporary period of 12 weeks and request the ERYC
arrange for the advertising of the post within South Cave, which will eliminate
the additional travel expenses incurred by the Parish Council, which will be
payable under LGR 1997 s30. Seconded
Cllr Barnett, Vote 7 for, 1 abstention.
(iv)The
Parish Council noted the Village Taskforce Schedule 2011.
(v)The Parish Council noted The Queens
Diamond Jubilee Beacons The Guide To Taking Part.
(vi)The Parish Council noted the Re-Appraisal
of the South Cave Conservation Area Report by Consultant into proposed
boundary changes.
(vii)The Parish Council noted the South Cave
Preservation Society letter relating to the Christmas Tree. Cllr Barnett proposed the Parish Council reply
advising the Council would prefer for the lights on the tree to be in keeping
with the newly fitted Town Hall Christmas lights. Seconded Cllr M. Turner, All in favour.
(viii)The Parish Council noted the South Cave
Preservation Society Minutes 4th October 2011, 5th
October 2011 & 7th September 2011
(ix)The Parish Council considered letter
received from the The Fox & Coney relating to Market Stalls. Cllr Harrison
proposed the Fox & Coney be advised the Market conflicts with the South
Cave Farmers Market and cannot agree to the rental of the stalls. Seconded Cllr Barnett, Vote 7 for, 1
abstention.
(x)The Parish Council considered the letter
received the Caves U3A Group relating to a contribution towards the Blinds and
agreed they are pleased to accept the contribution of £200.00 towards the newly
fitted Blinds in the meeting room.

Cllr L. Turner proposed that these items be
paid on the grounds of sound financial management of the Parish Council,
Seconded Cllr Kingdom, All in favour.
(ii)The Parish Council considered the request
for the Grasscutter to produce a weekly report on works completed to Clerk and
provide bills quarterly commencing 2012.
Cllr Lenton proposed the Parish Council accept the recommendation,
Seconded Cllr L. Turner, All in favour.
(iii)The Parish Council considered the
price(s) received for Grass Removal at the cemetery, and requested
clarification on the costs involved with this.
Clerk to confirm at the next Full Council meeting.
(iv)The Parish Council noted the repair costs
to the Playpark Arial Runway, completed due to Health & Safety matters.
(v)The Parish Council considered the
installation of additional water supply in the Cemetery and requested a further
two prices.

Hall
(i)The Parish Council considered the price received
for alterations to Loft Hatch. Cllr L.
Turner proposed the Parish Council commence the work, Seconded Cllr M. Turner,
All in Favour.
(ii)The Parish Council agreed the Town Hall
Christmas lights switch on for Thursday 1st December 2011 date for
the Town Hall Christmas Lights Switch on dates.
