Planning Meeting 5th December 2011
The Meeting of South Cave Parish Council Planning Committee took place in the Town Hall, Market Place, South Cave at 7.00pm.
Present: Cllrs Harrison, L. Turner, Manley, Kingdom, Phillips, Kelly, M. Turner, Munby, Lenton & Barnett
Clerk - Mrs L Fielding
There were no apologies for absence.
1808 Approval of Previous Planning Meeting Minutes (7th November 2011)
Cllr Kelly proposed that the minutes of the 7th November 2011 be approved and entered into the records as a true and accurate record with two amendments to Item 1801 Declarations if Interests to read:
Cllr L. Turner declared a prejudicial interest in minute reference 1802 (i) being a member of the Tennis Club and a representative for the South Cave Sports and Recreational Committee. Cllr L. Turner left the room prior to item 1802 (i) on the agenda.
Cllr M. Turner declared a personal interest in minute reference 1802 (i) being a relation to a member of the Tennis Club.
Seconded Cllr M. Turner, All in favour.
Cllr Lenton declared a personal interest in minute reference 1810 (ii) being an acquaintance of the applicant.
1810 Current Plans to consider
(i)Full Planning Permission 11/05268/PLF Erection of first floor extension to side at 67 West Hall Garth, South Cave for Mr C. Nelson.
Cllr Lenton proposed the Parish Council raise no objection to this application, but request consideration for the roof line to be continued, in order to match the other properties on the street, Seconded Cllr Kelly, All in favour.
(ii)Outline Planning Permission 11/04989/Stout Erection of buildings for use within use classes B1, B2 and B8 with associated site works (all matters reserved) (Revised scheme of withdrawn application 10/04691/STOUT) for Spanridge Ltd
Cllr Manley proposed the Parish Council Raise no objection to the proposal as it has no adverse effect on the property, neighbouring properties or the street scene, Seconded Cllr Barnett, Vote 9 for, 1 abstention.
(iii)Full Planning Permission 11/05446/PLF Construction of raised platform to the west elevation and alterations to Alteration openings (AMENDED DESCRIPTION) at Partridge Cottage and Pheasant Cottage1 and 2 West Hill, South Cave for Mr Charlie Greenwood.
Cllr M. Turner propose the Parish Council raise no objection to the proposal as it has no adverse effect on the property, neighbouring properties or the street scene. Seconded Cllr Munby, All in favour.

(ii)DC/11/04113/PAD Display of free standing Vshaped directional sign at junction A1034 and B1230 to serve Farm shop and Tea Room at Land North of Kettlethorpe Hill, South Cave for Mr C. Taylor Refused (No Obj)
(iii)11/03740/PLF Erection of a detached garage following of existing garage at 6 Middle Garth Drive, South Cave for Mrs Davidson Approved (No Obj)
The Parish Council noted the decisions made by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council
1812 Planning Appeal
(i)11/04113/PAD Display of free standing V Shaped directional sign at junction A1034 and B1230 to serve Farm Shop and Tea Room at Land North of Kettlethope Hill, South Cave for Mr C Taylor Consent to display an Advertisement (No Obj)
The Parish Council noted the appeal.
(i)11/05243/TPO Application to carry out works to trees protected by a preservation order at 59 Castle Drive, South Cave.
Cllr Barnett proposed the Parish Council recommend refusal of this proposal as the removal of the trees with have a detrimental effect on the area. The trees form part of the original tree screen in the village and the Parish Councils Tree Warden has advised the trees are healthy and in good condition. Seconded Cllr Kelly, Vote 8 for, 2 abstentions.
