Planning Meeting 5th March 2012


The Meeting of South Cave Parish Council Planning Committee took place in the Town Hall, Market Place, South Cave at 7.00pm.


Present:            Cllrs Barnett,  L. Turner, M. Turner, Munby, Lenton, Kingdom  &  Phillips

1827   Apologies for absence

Cllr Manley proposed apologies be accepted from Cllrs Munby & Phillips, Seconded Cllr Kelly,  All in favour.


1828    Approval of Previous Planning Meeting Minutes (6th February 2012)

Cllr Barnett proposed that the minutes of the 6th February 2012 be approved and entered into the records as a true and accurate record.  Seconded Cllr L. Turner, Vote 6 for, 1 abstention.  


1829   Declarations of Interest

There were no Declarations of Interest.


1830    Current Plans to consider

(i)12/00173/PLF – Erection of a general purpose agricultural building at Crabley Farm, Crabley Lane, South Cave for Mr Robert Nicholls – Full Planning Permission

Cllr Kingdom proposed the Parish Council raise no objection and recommend that due care is taken into account of the existing public right of way which appears to be adjacent to the proposed development and care is taken to maintain this right of way. Concerns were also raised with the heavy vehicles crossing the main crossing at the entrance to the property.  Seconded Cllr Lenton, All in favour.


1831    Planning Decisions  

(i)11/05268/PLF – Erection of first Floor extension to side at 67 West Hall Garth, South Cave for Mr C. Nelson – Approved (No OBJ)

(ii)11/05912/PLF – Erection of conservatory to rear following demolition of extension at 1 The Parklands, South Cave for Mr David Craven-Jones – Approved (No Obj)

(iii)11/05179/PLF – Erection of 1no. dwelling (Amended Scheme 08/01527/PLF) at Lane West of Eastfield House, South Cave for Mr & Mrs B Mathew – Approved (No Obj)

The Parish Council noted the Decisions made by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.


1832    Trees

(i)12/00778/TCA – SOUTH CAVE CONSERVATION AREA - Fell Cherry tree due to excessive shading and to allow immediately adjacent holly to flourish. Tree located in the rear garden at 50 Church Street, South Cave for Mr Mould

Cllr Lenton proposed the Parish Council defer the matter to the ERYC Tree Officer for consideration.  Seconded Cllr Barnett.  Vote 6 for, 1 Against.


1833    Tree Decisions

(i)11/05243/TPO – Application to work on trees  protected by a Tree Preservation Order at 59 Castle Drive, South Cave – Refused (REF)

The Parish Council noted the Decision made by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.


1834    Correspondence

(i)To consider letter received relating to land located at 43 Bacchus Lane, South Cave.

Cllr Barnett proposed Clerk investigate funding options with the  ERYC and raise at the next meeting.    Seconded Cllr M. Turner, All in favour.
