The Meeting of South Cave Parish Council
Planning Committee took place in the Town Hall, Market Place, South Cave at
7.00pm.

1746 Approval
of Previous Planning Meeting Minutes (7th February 2011)
Cllr Lenton proposed
that the minutes of the 7th February 2011 be approved and entered
into the records as a true and accurate record, seconded Cllr Barnett, All in
favour.
Cllrs Lenton &
Manley declared a personal interest in item number 1749 (i), Cllr Lenton being a prejudicial interest
& Cllr Manly being an acquaintance to the applicants.
1748 Correspondence
(i)The planning
committee considered the English Heritage application for number 40 West End,
South Cave. The Council requested Clerk ensures
the correct address is applied to the application and the application to be
raised at the next Planning meeting for approval.
1749 Current
Plans to consider
(i)11/00587/PLF - Full Planning Permission
Erection of extension to garage at 7 Plum Tree Walk, South Cave for Mr
& Mrs Paul Phillips.
The meeting was closed at 7:15pm for members of the
public to address the Parish Council regarding application 11/00587/PLF. The meeting was reconvened at 7:20pm.
Cllr L. Turner
proposed that the Parish Council raise no objection to the proposal as it has
no adverse effect on the property, neighbouring properties or the street scene,
Seconded Cllr Kelly, All in favour.
(ii)11/00289/PLF - Full Planning Permission
Erection
of single storey extension to front at 70 The Stray, South Cave for Mr &
Mrs Paul Phillips.
Cllr M.
Turner proposed that the Parish Council raise no objection to the proposal as
it has no adverse effect on the property, neighbouring properties or the street
scene, Seconded Cllr M. Turner, All in favour.
1750 Trees
(i)11/00030/TCA -
Notification to carry out works to trees in conservation area at The Beeches,
Brough Road, South Cave for Mr Holroyd.
Cllr
L. Turner proposed the Parish Council recommend refusal for the work to the
tree. The Parish Council are concerned
of the tree being placed under stress which could result in the entry of
disease to the portal wounds created by the work. The Parish Council request the ERYC place a
TPO on this tree as it is now clearly under threat. Seconded Cllr Barnett, All in favour.
(ii)11/0016/TPO - Application
to carry out works to trees protected by a tree Preservation Order at 1
Radcliffe Garth, South Cave for Mrs Jennifer Douglas.
Cllr Lenton proposed
that the Parish Council recommend refusal for the works. All trees have previously been subject to
applications which were inspected and refused.
The trees form a prominent feature to both the entry and exit of the
village and show no signs of disease. It
will have a detrimental effect to the visual amenity of the area and The Parish
Council can see no obvious reason for denuding the village of healthy mature
trees. Seconded Cllr M. Turner, All in favour.
1751 Other Parish Council Matters
(i)The Parish Council noted the
TCPA Neighbourhood Planning Conference, London and recommended the Parish
Council attend the local events the ERYC will be holding during 2011.
(ii)The
Parish Council noted ERYC are awaiting a further planning Application for Mount
Airey Airstrip and will update the Parish Council once received.
(iii)The
Parish Council noted the ERYC are awaiting the planning application for the
signage at Definition, Market Place, South Cave.
