Planning Meeting 9th January 2012

 

The Meeting of South Cave Parish Council Planning Committee took place in the Town Hall, Market Place, South Cave at 7.00pm.

 

Present:            Cllrs Harrison, L. Turner, Manley, Kelly, M. Turner, Munby, Lenton  &  Barnett

1814    Apologies for absence

Cllr Manley proposed apologies be accepted from Cllrs Jamieson, Phillips & Kingdom, Seconded Cllr M. Turner, All in favour.

 

1815    Approval of Previous Planning Meeting Minutes (5th December 2011)

Cllr Barnett proposed that the minutes of the 5th December 2011 be approved and entered into the records as a true and accurate record.  Seconded Cllr Kelly, All in Favour.  

 

1816   Declarations of Interest

There were no Declarations of Interest.

 

1817    Current Plans to consider

Meeting was closed at 7:05p.m for public consultation and was re-opened at 7:15p.m.

(i)11/05318/PAD - Display of non-illuminated free standing ‘V’ shaped canopy directional sign to Farmshop and Tea Room at Land North Of Kettlethorpe Farm, Kettlethorpe Hill, South Cave for Mr Taylor – Consent to Display an Advertisement.  Cllr Lenton proposed the Parish Council recommend refusal of this application due to the detrimental alteration to the original application.  The new position would add to the general clutter in the locality and detract from the visual amenity in the immediate area. The Parish Council suggests the original location should be re-considered.  Seconded Cllr Kelly, All in Favour.

 

1818    Planning Decisions  

(i)11/04416/PLF – Erection of 2 no. dwellings and garages, use of land for the construction of tennis courts, construction of a highway turning facility and the provision of car parking following demolition of existing building at 43 Bacchus Lane, South Cave for Mr P. Wilson – Refused (REF)

(ii)11/05446/PLF – Construction of raised platform to the west elevation and alterations to existing openings (AMENDED DESCRIPTION) at Partridge Cottage and Pheasant Cottage, 1 and 2 West Hill, South Cave – Approved (No Obj)

The Parish Council noted the Decisions made by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

 

1819    Trees

(i)11/03840/TPO – Application to work on trees protected by the Tree Preservation Order at 57 Castle Drive, South Cave – Approved (REF)

(ii)11/04587/TCA – Application for tree works at 28 Bull Pasture, South Cave – Approved (Parish Council not consulted due to minimal impact on conservation area)

(iii)11/04626/TCA – Application for tree works at 50 West End, South Cave – Approved (REF)

(iv)11/04446/TCA – Application for tree works at Stackyards, 9 First Lane, South Cave - Approved (Parish Council not consulted due to minimal impact on conservation area)

(v)11/04443/TCA – Application for tree works at 26 Wold View, South Cave – Approved (Parish Council not consulted due to minimal impact on conservation area)

The Parish Council were unhappy with the Lack on Consultation with the Parish Council.  Cllr Harrison proposed the Parish Council request a meeting with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council for clarification, Seconded Cllr M. Turner, All in Favour.
