Council took place in the WI Hall, Church Street, South Cave commencing at
7:00pm

Forum
(i)Complaints have been received regarding the untidiness/cigarette litter outside Fox &
Coney. The Clerk is to write to ask them to keep the area clean.
(ii)The works along Water Lane are to install new foul water drainage pipes and will be
there for about 6 weeks.

(i)East Riding Yorkshire Council is busy replenishing their grit stocks.

of Previous Meetings Minutes, 21st December 2009
Cllr Marsh proposed that the minutes of the meeting of 21st December 2009 be
approved and entered into records, as a true and accurate record, seconded Cllr
L Turner, All in favour.

There were no matters arising.

There were no Declarations of Interest.
4140110 Police Matters
Two Special Constables were in attendance and reported the Crime Statistics for the
period from 21st December – 18 January:
They had 30 calls for service with 3 crimes reported for South Cave. 1 theft of a
motor vehicle in West End and 2 assaults, both at a family party on New Year’s Eve.
They confirmed that there are shortages in staff at the moment, but are trying to tackle
the situation by using staff from other areas.

(i)Cllr L Turner proposed that these items be paid on the grounds of sound financial management of the Council, seconded Cllr Barnett, All in favour.
(ii)Councillors noted the recommendation made by the Finance & General Purposes Committee held on 14th January 2010 and on the grounds of sound financial management resolved the precept at £94,118 for 2010/11, proposed Cllr L Turner, Seconded Cllr Marsh, All in favour.
(iii)To resolve that the Council in accordance with its power under S137 & 139 of the Local Government Act 1972 should incur the following expenditure which, in the opinion of the Council, is in the interests of the area, or its inhabitants and will benefit them in a manner commensurate with expenditure:
(a) Cllr Lenton proposed a donation of £200 to the Marie Curie Cancer Care, East
Yorkshire Nursing Appeal to fund a local nurse for one evening, Seconded Cllr Marsh, All in favour.
4160110 Correspondence
(i)The Council noted the report on the Dale & South Hunsley Neighbourhood Action
Team meeting held on 9 December 2009 from Cllr Kelly.
(ii)The Council considered two candidates for the ERYC Sport & Play Recognition
Awards for 2010. Councillors Mrs E Barnett and Mrs L Turner are to advise the clerk
with full details of the candidates in order for the nomination form to be completed.
(iii)To Council noted the Environment Agency River Hull Flood Risk Management
Strategy Public Sessions.
(iv)The Council noted South Cave CE School Headteacher’s newsletter – Dec 2009.
(v)The Council noted the East Riding Parish News – January 2010.
4170110 Administration
(i)The Council considered attendance at the ERYC Code of Conduct Training
Events
to be held throughout February 2010, Cllrs P Marsh, B Munby and the
Clerk are to
attend.
(ii)The Council noted and considered attendance at the next ERYC Flood Liaison
Group Meeting to be held on 5th February 2010. Cllr M Turner is to attend.

Council discussed additional Salt Bins in the village and Cllr Marsh proposed
that
ERYC application forms be completed for Salt Bins to be installed at Willow
Flats, Wold View, Highfields, Middlegarth Drive, Wesley Close, Annie Med
Lane
and Station Road, Seconded Cllr Kelly, All in favour.
(iv)The Council considered the completion
of the ERYC Anti-social Behaviour
Survey. Councillors are to complete the forms
independently and return to the Clerk
for collating the
information.

(i)The Council noted the ERNLLCA newsletter for December 2009.
4190110 Planning
(i)DC/09/03926/PLF/WESTES – Full Planning Permission
Erection of 1 no dwelling (AMENDED PLANS) at Land Rear of 62 Beverley Road,
South Cave for Mrs E Christmas.
The Council noted that this amended application relates only to the
Certificate of
Ownerships, A and B having now been completed on the application, as
confirmed by
Mr Robert Lee the ERYC case officer.
However, a letter has now been received
from ERYC that this application has now been withdrawn. No further action is required.
