The Meeting of South Cave Parish Council Planning Committee took place
in the WI Hall, South Cave at 7.00pm.
Present: Cllrs Harrison (Chairman), Mrs L Turner,
M Turner, Marsh, Kelly, Manley, Munby and Wright (7.05pm)

Cllr Marsh proposed that
apologies for absence be accepted from Cllrs Barnett and Lenton,

Approval of Previous Meetings’ Minutes (8th February 2010)
Cllr Manley proposed that the minutes of the
previous meetings should be approved and accepted as a true and accurate record,
seconded Cllr M Tuner, All in favour.
There were no declarations of interest.
1669 Decisions
made by East Riding of Yorkshire Council
(i)DC/09/04788/PLF
–Erection of single storey extension to front at 5 Little Wold Lane, South
Cave – Granted WC (No-obj)
The Planning Committee
noted the decision.
At this point Cllr Wright
arrived. He confirmed that he had no
declarations of interest on
matters remaining on the agenda.

Current Plans to consider
(i)Erection of a single storey extension to side and rear following the
demolition of existing garage and conservatory (AMENDED PLANS) at 16 West Hall
Garth, South Cave, HU15 2HD for Mr S Thornton.
The meeting was closed at 7.10pm for a member of the public to address
the Committee with objections. The
meeting reconvened at 7.15pm.
Cllr Wright proposed that the Parish Council raise no objection to the
proposal as the extension has no adverse effect on the property itself, the
street scene or the enjoyment of neighbouring properties, Seconded Cllr Kelly,
All in favour.
1671 Trees
(i)App No. 10/50015/TCA – Prune Cherry Tree at 2 Castle Drive, South
Cave.
Cllr
Marsh proposed that the Parish Council raise no objection to the pruning of the
Cherry Tree in principal but as a tree wardens report was not available, the
matter be deferred to the East Riding Tree Officer, Seconded Cllr M Turner, All
in favour.

(ii)App No. 10/50019/TCA – Remove 3 large Silver Birch Trees at 2 Bull
Pasture, South Cave and replace with Laurel Hedge.
Cllr
Wright proposed that whilst the Parish Council feels the trees are not
particularly good quality species, on balance there is a need for trees to be
present on that part of the street scene as they make a positive contribution
to the Conservation Area and are an important visual amenity. The Parish Council therefore suggests that a
TPO be placed on these trees, Seconded Cllr Kelly, Vote: 6 in favour, 2
abstentions.
