The Meeting of South Cave Parish Council Planning Committee took place
in the WI Hall, South Cave at 7.00pm.

Cllr Harrison proposed that
apologies for absence be accepted from Cllrs Marsh, Manley,
Jamieson and Lenton seconded Cllr
Munby, All in favour.

Approval of Previous Meetings’ Minutes (17th August 2008)
Cllr L Turner proposed that the minutes of
the previous meetings should be approved and accepted as a true record,
seconded Cllr Kelly, All in favour.
There were no declarations of interest.

Barnett proposed that the Parish Council raise no objection as it has no
adverse effect on the property,
neighbouring properties or the street scene, and has no adverse effect on the
character or appearance of the Conservation Area.

– Full Planning Permission (Amended)
Erection
of two storey extension to side at The Ridings, 14 The Stray, South Cave for Mr
P
Walker.
Cllr M Turner proposed that as previous recommendations have been taken
into consideration the Parish Council raise no objection as it has no adverse
effect on the property, neighbouring properties or the street scene and is not
in the Conservation Area.

The following item was moved forward on the Agenda to item 1632(i) and
the meeting was closed at 7.15pm for members of the public to address the
Council in opposition of the application.
The
meeting reopened at 7.20pm.
(iii)DC/09/02685/PLF/WESTES-Full Planning Permission
Erection
of a dwelling and integral garage at land South West of 49 Water Lane, South
Cave for Mr & Mrs S P Brown.
Cllr
M Turner proposed that the Parish Council recommends refusal of this
application, as the proposed development by virtue of its location, height, scale,
density and massing would not relate well to its surroundings and would
dramatically impact on the open aspect of the entrance into the village It does not respect the local landscape,
would harm the street scene and would have a detrimental effect on adjoining
properties, Seconded Cllr L Turner, All in favour.
1633 Trees
(i)App No. STA.6589 – Prune 2 Sycamore Trees at 13 Station Road, South
Cave.
Cllr Harrison proposed
that whilst recognising the possible dangers to the main carriageway and
neighbouring property, the Parish Council refer the decision for the pruning to
the East Riding Tree Officer for his professional decision, Seconded Cllr M
Turner, All in favour.
1634 Other Parish Council Matters
(i)Cllr Kelly proposed that the Parish
Council approve payment for the first interim valuation for the Town Hall
refurbishment to Messrs. Vale Developments Building Contractors Ltd, Seconded
Cllr Munby, All in favour.
(ii)The
Council discussed the NALC consultation on consolidation of Council Tax Demand Notice
Regulations.
(iii)The Council considered attendance at the Action Plan Workshop at British Aerospace for Haltemprice and Hunsley LAT areas and Cllr T Kelly is to attend.
