Planning Meeting 5th January 2009

 

The Meeting of South Cave Parish Council Planning Committee took place in the Town Hall, Market Place, South Cave at 7.00pm.

1568  Apologies for absence

Cllr Marsh proposed apologies be accepted from Cllr Scott, seconded Cllr Manley, All in favour.

 

1569   Approval of Previous Meetings’ Minutes (10th November 2008)

Cllr Barnett proposed that the minutes of the previous meeting, with a minor amendment, should be approved and accepted as a true record, seconded Cllr Kelly, All in favour.

1572 Current Plans to consider

            (i)DC/08/05578/PAD/WESTES – Consent to display an Advertisement

            Consent to display 2 no internally illuminated facia signs and 1 no internally illuminated projecting sign at 55 Market Place, South Cave for Boots the Chemist. Cllr Marsh proposed that the parish council raise no objection as the application had no adverse effect on the property, neighbouring properties or the street scene, and has no adverse effect on the character or appearance of the Conservation Area, seconded Cllr M Turner, All in favour.

            (ii)DC/08/05591/PLF/WESTES – Full Planning Permission

            Conversion of existing garage to form additional living accommodation including construction of dormer window and erection of a detached garage at 73 Market Place, South Cave for Mr Burton.  Cllr Lenton proposed that the parish council raise no objection to the proposal, subject to materials, as it has no adverse effect on the property, neighbouring properties or the street scene, and has no adverse effect on the character or appearance of the Conservation Area, seconded Cllr Marsh, All in favour.

1537    Trees

            (i)App 6248 – fell a tree at 14a Wesley Close, South Cave. Cllr Lenton proposed that the parish council raise no objection to the work, but would request that a replacement specimen tree be planted as close as possible to the existing site, seconded Cllr Barnett, All in favour,.

            (ii)Decision: 6171 – remove a Cypress from 67A Church Street – permission granted

                                 6175 – prune trees at 6 Southcote Close – permission granted

                                 6212 – prune trees at 28 Church Street – permission granted

(iii)The Council considered a copy letter from ERYC Director of Planning re Tree issues.  In light of information within the letter, the Clerk is to arrange a meeting with the principal authority to find a way forward, and to participate in the proposed pilot scheme, proposed Cllr L Turner, seconded Cllr Marsh, All in favour.

(iv)Councillors considered the appointment of voluntary Tree Warden for South Cave. The Clerk is to arrange an informal meeting with the interested party.
