1594 Current Plans to consider
A
member of the public addressed Council objecting to the following proposal
Cllr Lenton had
declared a personal interest in the following item
(i)DC/09/00834/PLF Full Planning Permission
Erection of first floor extension incorporating 8 no. Dormer windows,
single storey extension to front and attached double garage to side
resubmission of application 08/02488 at Fairways Farm, Northfield Close, South Cave for Dr
Suri. Cllr Harrison proposed that the Parish Council whilst recognising that planning
permission has previously been given to a similar proposal; concerns raised by
the Parish Council have not been addressed such as the overdevelopment of the
site, that is outside of the development limit, increase in traffic, and would
suggest a condition regarding non-business use, seconded Cllr L Turner, All in
favour.
A member of the public addressed the meeting in support of the
application.
(ii)DC/09/00717/PLF Full Planning Permission
Erection of first floor extension, two storey extension to front, two
storey extension to side and rear following demolition of existing single
storey extension and erection of detached garage at 74 Beverley Road,
South Cave. Cllr Lenton proposed that the parish council would raise no objection to the proposal as
it has no adverse effect on the neighbouring properties or the street scene, and
would improve the building, but would suggest conditions regarding tree
protection, and the replacement of any trees that are felled in order to
maintain the green aspect of this area of the village, seconded Cllr Scott, All
in favour.

1595 Trees
(i)App
No. 6350 (TPO) prune a tree at 1 Appleton Gardens, South Cave. Cllr Lenton
proposed that the parish council recommend
refusal of the application as it is a valuable tree in the area, that was
present prior to the development of the site, and therefore should be conserved
in its entirety, seconded Cllr Barnett, All in favour.
(ii)
App No. 6352 (s211) prune a tree at 14 Brough Road, South Cave. Cllr M Turner
proposed that the parish council would raise
no objection to the felling of the trees identified, but would like to see a
request for replacement trees to maintain the tree stock in this area, also no
objections were raised to the pruning of the Oak tree, seconded Cllr Harrison,
All in favour.
(iii) App No. 6366 (S211) - fell and prune trees at 3 Mt Airy Lane,
South Cave. Cllr M Turner proposed that the parish council whilst raising no objection to tree
maintenance work, would advise that this tree has amenity value within the
Conservation Area on one of the major entry and exit routes to the village, and
so would like to ask that the Tree Officer give close supervision to the work
to be carried out as we would not like to lose this tree, seconded Cllr Scott,
All in favour
(iv)Councillors
considered the response to request for TPO on trees on ERYC land to the north
of West End Farm Close and requested the Clerk to respond by advising of the
Councils continuing concerns, and asking that the information/survey remain on
file so that a detailed record of the site is available, proposed Cllr Lenton,
seconded Cllr Kelly, All in favour.
